Methos is one of the most popular characters on Highlander: The Series (thought some might argue it's no contest) He is the oldest living immortal, at over 5,000. He is so old, he doesn't even remember when or where he was born. He is only aware of when he took his first head.

Amanda Darieux called Methos wiley and devious. Joe Dawson has called him a calculative son of a bitch and arrogant pain in the ass. Duncan MacLeod has had a sword at Methos' neck at least three times. He's got some nice friends, doesn't he?

In his life, Methos has been many things: Lawyer, doctor, Indian Chief, friend to Lord Byron and Mary Shelley. Most notable was his period as Death, one of the four Horsemen of the Apocalypse. Back then, he made his living raping, pillaging and painting half of his face a nice shade of blue.

Methos' beliefs in life are simple. Don't dump an immortal woman then turn your back on her. Know when to disappear. Know when to lie. And most important. Live, grow stronger, fight another day.

Since 1985 Methos has been disguised as Adam Pierson. He is a university student. He also works for the Watchers, the mortal historians who watch immortals. "Adam Pierson" works on the Methos Chronicles. Methos has gone to great lengths to keep his identity a secret. Unfortunately, nothing last forever. By 1997, he was pretty much done with them.

Methos is protrayed by the wonderful actor, Peter Wingfield. He appeared in twenty-two episodes of Highlander: The Series. He also appeared in Highlander: Endgame and Highlander: The Source.
